Working in TSD - For Technicians & Specialists

TSD is ideal for personnel who enjoy practical problem-solving, systems planning, and rapid incident response. Whether you work with communications, electrical systems, or software support, your role directly affects site safety, uptime, and operational readiness.

What You Will Do

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software faults
  • Maintain secure site infrastructure and internal network systems
  • Support critical facility equipment and automation systems
  • Monitor service uptime and coordinate outage response
  • Document maintenance logs and technical incident reports
  • Assist departments with equipment deployments and upgrades
  • Coordinate with Security and Scientific teams during high-risk events

Skills & Experience

Strong troubleshooting ability, calm decision-making under pressure, and reliable documentation are required. New technical personnel receive onboarding in:

  • Site-89 infrastructure standards and service procedures
  • Network and endpoint security fundamentals
  • Power, communications, and equipment maintenance workflows
  • Ticketing, escalation, and incident response protocols
  • Cross-department technical coordination practices
  • Emergency continuity and recovery planning

Getting Started

Personnel interested in Technical Services should report to the Infrastructure Wing for orientation and assignment. Initial training covers core systems, safety standards, and on-call response procedures.

Infrastructure Operations maintains core facility systems including power distribution, network backbone reliability, and critical support equipment. IOPS teams are responsible for preventative maintenance, rapid repair, and service continuity planning.
