Skins Guide
Upload skins, use HD skins, and the /setskin command.

» Setting your Skin «

/setskin Command

When roleplaying on the server, you will find yourself changing skins frequently. To simplify this, we provide a mod that lets you change your skin with a URL.

To use it in-game, type: /setskin [image url]

» Uploading Your Skin «

Site-89 provides a dedicated image hosting service for all your skin needs. Simply upload your skin file and you'll receive a permanent URL that you can use with the /setskin command.

Steps to Upload Your Skin

  1. Visit the Site-89 Image Uploads page
  2. Log in with your account if you haven't already
  3. Drag and drop your skin file or click to browse
  4. Click "Upload to Server" and wait for the upload to complete
  5. Copy the URL provided after upload
  6. Use /setskin [your url] in-game
Tip: The uploads page supports PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, BMP, and SVG files up to 10MB. Your skin images are stored permanently on Site-89 servers.

» HD skins and why we use them «

The server supports both standard 64x64 skins and high-resolution skins (128x128, 256x256, 512x512, or even 1024x1024). Higher resolution lets us include small, high-detail insignias and logos that aren't possible on standard resolution skins, such as custom Security Department uniforms.

Why HD? Some departments require higher-resolution skins to display detailed badges, rank insignias, and department logos clearly. Upload your HD skin to the Site-89 uploads page and use the URL with /setskin.

Note: HD-style features (strongly detailed eyes, etc.) that deviate from the 64x64 aesthetic may look out of place and are generally discouraged unless specifically required by a department.

» Upgrading your skin to HD «

To safely upscale a skin without losing detail, use an image editor that preserves clarity. We recommend Medibang Pro for this purpose (Photoshop can sometimes introduce blurring).

Steps (Using Medibang Pro)

  1. Download and install Medibang Pro: https://medibangpaint.com/en/app-download/
  2. Open your skin image in Medibang Pro
  3. Under the Edit menu, find Image Size
  4. Change the image size to the required resolution (128x128, 256x256, 512x512, etc.)
  5. Make sure "Nearest Neighbor" or similar is selected to maintain pixel sharpness
  6. Export the skin via File → Export as PNG format

After exporting, upload the image to the Site-89 uploads page, copy the URL, and use /setskin [your url] in-game to apply it.
